Senior Associate – Project Management

What you’ll do: As Senior Associate of Project Management, you’ll know the necessary workflow steps — creative development, execution, and production for all digital banner, email, and direct mail projects — inside and out, effectively manages projects using the appropriate resources and processes. Day to day, your responsibilities will include:

 

Project Management: You will own key project management functions such as scheduling, scoping, resource management, and risk mitigation

  • Acts as mentor and trusted advisor to team members
  • Develop and maintain project schedules
  • Manage files, including uploading and archiving on Box and servers; communicate updates to vendor and agency partners.
  • Maintain project tracker
  • Partner with Creative team leads to assign creative teams and manage resources’ bandwidth
  • Partner with Print Studio to review status of existing and upcoming projects; request resources and services as needed
  • Route each phase of tactic through internal studio, proofreading and other internal stakeholders

Marketing: You will be expected to understand your client’s business and the craft of Marketing, while delivering effective campaigns that meet strategic objectives

 

  • Receive and review client input briefs
  • Develop detailed creative briefs
  • Lead cross-capability teams to ​deliver and sell creative thinking and powerful ideas that meet client objectives; share client feedback and guide implementation
  • Oversee the creative development and technical production of digital banners, emails, and direct mail
  • Compile competitive overviews and support analysis as needed

Client Coordination and Management: You will facilitate projects with your client counterparts and develop client-ready documents such as SOWs, schedules, briefs and risk assessments

 

  • Partner with marketing clients to concept and execute campaigns
  • Manage daily client communications on project status, production, and delivery
  • Compile and deliver post-call conference reports

Communication and Engagement: You will learn to use the right communication tools at the right time, understand how to communicate effectively and lean into your work with active participation in meetings and on your projects

 

  • Maintain a clear and reasonable vision of “next steps” and the “big picture” during meetings, conversations, or whenever the parameters of a project change
  • Actively participate in internal meetings, delivery instructions in a clear and concise manner
  • Provide proper materials and documentation when necessary
  • Lead discussions that are effective and efficient, making sure the discussions stay on track and are solution-oriented
  • Be graceful in delivering instructions; use a clear and concise manner

Financial Operations: You will be expected to understand the basic fundamentals of business financials including forecasting, promoting great margins, and managing DigitasLBi operational processes

 

  • Develop project production SOW’s, utilizing both the client rate card and custom pricing models when appropriate
  • Track production budgets and PO’s; complete and review reconciliations with the clients
  • Become familiar with retainer documents, process for changing SOW’s, and financial tracking of fee and production budgets

Leadership Skills:  You are expected to demonstrate and develop leadership and management skills

  • Capacity to manage a high volume of daily client and agency needs with a proactive attitude
  • Ability to demonstrate problem-solving and critical thinking skills: always ask questions, research, consult to ensure a deep understanding of the needs at hand
  • Strong, effective organizational and time management skills
  • Have a good memory to quickly recall or obtain information wherever needed
  • Ability to prioritize projects by identifying urgencies and shifting project focus on a regular basis

We’re looking for a Senior Associate who’s a delight to work with and has a track record of talent, which usually includes:

 

  • A four-year college education
  • 1 to 2 years of experience, preferably at a creative agency
  • Ability to actively participate in internal meetings, thinking clearly and diplomatically when fielding complex or sensitive questions from internal groups
  • Gracefulness in delivering instructions – using a clear and concise manner, providing proper materials and documentation when necessary
  • Willingness to travel as needed – you’re open to new places, new faces and new ideas
