    Associate Director, Corporate Communications (Industry Analyst)

    To help with this, we’re looking for an outstanding Industry Analyst – someone who’ll serve as our go-to intelligence resource, identifying and examining trends in the Marketing Services landscape and ensuring that Digitas makes informed strategic decisions. Based in New York, this professional will support the Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Marketing Transformation Officer and the extended leadership team through leading industry analysis for Digitas across the globe.

    What you’ll do:  


    • Curate custom research, source business intelligence, discern,  monitor and package trends
    • Educate and collaborate with the leadership team across disciplines to shape strategy
    • Synthesize data and create a detailed digest, summaries and reports on a regular (i.e., weekly) publishing schedule.
    • Deep dive, long form “features” on critical themes that will impact our industry and our clients business such (4-6 per year).
    • Cultivate research relationships with external parties
    • Engage all stakeholders to identify content for the reports and long form features.
    • Own knowledge management within Marketing Services


    Day-to-day, your role includes:


    • Defining and staying up-to-date with emergent trends in the Marketing Services space and acquiring game-changing knowledge to influence strategy.
    • Investigating competitor activity and identifying strategic opportunities and threats
    • Strategizing with leadership to pinpoint key areas for research and tracking as well as setting benchmarks to continually elevate performance
    • Creating a comprehensive digest, strategic overview reports and summaries to ensure all stakeholders stay abreast of major industry developments and trends
    • Advising leadership and providing recommendations to support the growth of the agency
    • Collaborating with leads to determine key areas of investigation
    • Partnering with internal leadership and third-party research companies to curate a timely and meaningful body of knowledge
    • Gathering business intelligence, conducting principal research and interviews
    • Synthesizing and dissecting data to identify game-changing insights
    • Articulating findings and helping leadership to achieve an informed point-of-view
    • Preparing a regular cadence of reports and assisting in the creation of publish assets to engage all stakeholders
    • Liaising and coordinating with Market Intelligence and Corporate Communications to ensure research best practices and access to knowledge
    • Joining forces with NA Market Intelligence and Corporate Communications Analyst Relations to strengthen partnerships, including with Gartner and Forrester
    • Establishing relationships of trust with industry experts, creating open communication channels to discern future strategies and preferences on products and suppliers
    • Structuring and owning the knowledge management function for this role
    • Organizing briefings from third-party analysts on relevant topics


    We’re looking for strong, impactful work experience, which typically includes:

    • Extensive experience or expertise in Market Research, Marketing Services, Sales and an understanding of current trends
    • Sound analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
    • Identifying the underlying facts, reasons or principles of information by breaking data or information into separate parts
    • Devising strategies and objectives in alignment with the core vision and values
    • Managing multiple, large-scale projects, prioritizing deadlines while maintaining relentless attention to detail
    • Excellent oral and written communications skills – the ability communicate with impact through written reports, personal briefings and group presentations
    • A bachelor’s degree in Market Research, Statistics, Math or Computer Science
    • At least three years of industry experience in Marketing Services or Business Journalism
