    Manager, Business Analysis - Technology

    To help with this, we’re looking for an outstanding Manager, Business Analysis - someone who can join a new or existing digital project and lead the project forward with gathering, documenting and prioritizing of requirements for system functionality in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.     What you’ll do:  

     

    The Business Analysis practice provides business analysis services such as requirements gathering and functional specification documentation to support complex digital projects being defined, designed and developed by Digitas and other Publicis agencies.

     

    As a Manager, you will lead the gathering and documenting of requirements and specifications on a range of digital projects and initiatives within our client portfolio. You’ll define and collaborate on the design of highly dynamic, data-driven internet-based applications and/or platforms and support the development and testing of those systems.

     

    Day-to-day, your role includes:

     

    • Facilitating requirement gathering sessions with stakeholders. Researching and understanding customer and user requirements, their strategies, and their goals
    • Defining detailed functional requirements in collaboration with producers, business stakeholders and engineering. Translating the set of requirements with User Experience designers, art directors and architects into the product backlog and manage backlog of prioritized user stories
    • Ability to manage and deliver multiple projects with various degrees of complexity.
    • Providing technical clarification and direction about requirements to team members
    • Collaborating with Business Owner and product owner to align product requirements with business objectives.
    • Contributing to POVs, collaborating with engineering team to assess tools/vendors and provide recommendations
    • Managing business requirement documentation such as use cases, user flows, non-functional specifications and change control process to ensure repeatable processes and delivery of value 
    • Supporting the development team by communicating requirements and specifications. Triage issues with QA teams development to ensure alignment with the defined requirements
    • Engaging with release managers to review and approve finished development work before release into production
    • Supporting the technology lead with auditing and analysis of technologies and vendors under consideration for project solutions.
    • Supporting the project manager by identifying your project tasks, estimates time and dependencies as well as actively participating in scope definition and prioritization of requirements
    • Collaborating with experience designers (XD), graphic designers and copywriters in the detailed design phase of projects and providing concise accurate feedback to help align with the requirements or user stories.
    • Supporting the account team in managing client stakeholders by providing documentation within agreed timeframes and consolidating open questions/issues for communication with clients.

     

    We’re looking for strong, impactful work experience, which typically includes:

     

    • 5+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst role (or similar role).
    • 5+ years of experience working on technology based projects.
    • 2+ years of experience working for a digital agency or consultancy.
    • Excellent analytical skills, attention to details and problem solving experience.
    • Experience working in an agile development environment.  
    • Certified ScrumMaster or Certified Product owner background (a plus)
    • Project management training and/or experience preferred.
    • Good team worker, able to work in virtual global teams and in a matrix organization.
    • Ability to work in fast-paced and complex environment and possess time management skills to meet schedules.
    • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal and strong interpersonal skills to support interaction with multiple groups and levels.
    • Experience using Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence) a plus.
    • Experience leveraging and documenting for Adobe Experience Manager (CMS) preferred
    • Dynamic, detail oriented, fast learning capacity and ability to work in a high pressure environment.
    • Extensive knowledge of the business and technology domains.  (experience in one or more of these domains online media, social media, e-commerce, release management, content management systems, online analytics )  
    • Strong technical documenting skills particularly with Word, Excel and Visio
    • Extensive knowledge of website and software development process: discovery, design, build, test/QA, deployment measurement and optimization.
    • Experience working on large complex projects with multiple teams, timelines and dependencies required.
    • Experience working with remote teams in different time zones required.
    • Bachelor or equivalent degree in Business, Design or Technology related discipline required.
    • Some travel may be required
